Hello and thank you for visiting Janyia's Cupcakes
My name is Janyia, a 17-year-old baking enthusiast and early graduate from Phillip O. Berry Academy of Technology. My passion for baking is deeply rooted in the cherished memories of my great-grandmother, who has lovingly shared her baking skills with me, and my late sister, who was my closest friend and partner in the kitchen.

My great-grandmother, now 83, has been a beacon of inspiration, filling our kitchen with joy and delicious treats. I have fond memories of us baking cakes together, savoring the batter, and watching her create with love. My sister, who passed away on November 10, 2024, was a true lover of sweets and a dedicated helper in our baking adventures. Her memory and love for sweets continue to drive me in everything.
In honor of their legacy and with a vision to contribute to the Charlotte community, I am excited to launch Janyia's Cupcakes. As a young entrepreneur, I am proud to add a new voice to the world of black-owned bakeries and dessert shops in Charlotte. I believe that with determination and faith, I can make a meaningful impact and share the joy of baking with others.
